Independent Director

Prof. Dr. Martin Vogt, FRM holds the professorship for Business Intelligence, in particular Advanced Analytics, in the Economics department of Trier University. In this role, he is responsible in particular for the areas of digital transformation, data science and machine learning.

Previously, Prof. Vogt worked in the financial sector for many years, first as a management consultant at KPMG Luxembourg, then as Vice President at Deutsche Bank Luxembourg S.A. and Deutsche Asset Management Luxembourg S.A. and finally as Division Head and Managing Director for LRI Invest S.A. and LRI Invest Securitization S.A. With this background, he combines the views of a service provider, a large corporation and a medium-sized company on the financial sector.

Prof. Vogt is a qualified member of the Supervisory Board (Deutsche Börse), Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) and studied applied mathematics with a focus on economics at the Universities of Trier and Glasgow and then did his doctorate at the Chair of Economic and Social Statistics at the University of Trier. His research has received several awards, including the Gerhard Fürst Prize, awarded by the Federal Statistical Office. In his free time he likes to travel, play tennis and is a passionate beekeeper.
